Managed Recruitment Outsourcing for a major manufacturing holding company and its subsidiaries

Business Issue

A $6 Billion holding company with 7 independent business units across North and South America had a new CEO.  The CEO was taking the company through growth and top grading all business units while implementing world class lean manufacturing processes.  Historically the firm had been a sleepy manufacturing company with very little turnover and was paying contingent fees for all hires.  With the new plans for growth and top grading, they expected a minimum of 400 hires a year.  The VP of HR recognized they needed a more scalable solution and needed it fast.

Novo's Solution

The solution started with one recruiter and scaled to 13 recruiters plus a project manager to oversee 5 of the business units. Over the course of 3 ½ years, Novo accommodated the client's needs based on the number of requisitions, eventually scaling back to 1 full time recruiting resource.  After the client built their own internal team they now look to Novo for their senior level searches.

Results

With a high degree of collaboration with the client's HR team, Novo hired over 1,200 professionals in a 3 ½ year time frame with a total average cost per hire of 12.37% and reduced the time to fill by 65%.  When the VP of HR moved on to another organization he brought Novo into his new organization based on the results from his first experience with the Novo professionals and process.
